The Bektashi State in Tirana
Bektashi (in Albanian: Bektashizma or Bektashizmi) is a religious order within Islam and originally an influential Sufi order in the Ottoman Empire. Its founder was Haji Bektash Veli, an Islamic scholar, mystic, philosopher and saint from Khorasan, who lived in the 13th century in Anatolia, and after whose religious name the Bektashi order takes its name.
