We discovered Albania quite by chance. But very soon we felt that something extraordinary had happened to us.
A few years ago we ended up in Albania by a curious coincidence. The first place where we truly breathed in Albanian air to the fullest was the town of Pogradec on Lake Ohrid. We will never forget the powerful feeling of exceptional relaxation and freedom.
Every further journey through Albania only deepened our emotions. We were literally swept away by the mountains, cities, villages, canyons, rivers and the coastline. Not least by the extraordinary friendliness and helpfulness of the local people. Simply put, we fell in love with Albania very quickly and did everything we could to make it our permanent home.
